Welcome!

I welcome anyone who would come to my blog and read my posts. I am from Murfreesboro and I have just recently moved back to the area. I so loved growing up in the "big city" that could! It is a college town and way back when that was the only big excitement. Fall would come and all those new fresh faces would roll in from parts unknown and it would be hustle and bustle for the next few months. Then at the two big holidays in the fall, it would be deads-ville all over the place, only to recoup back after till Christmas. Then during the summer it was back to the slow pace. As a kid this was great! All the excitement of the kids and the Homecoming parade and game and they where full of that ole' team spirit. So fall was to me a great time of excitement and a re-birth of our sleepy little city. Go Blue Raiders!! Our town was also a spot for BIG NAMES too! What a blast when ELVIS came to town and BOB HOPE! Anybody remember that! My mother was the Assistant Innkeeper of the Holiday Inn at that time and that is where Bob Hope stayed. WOW! I was able to meet Bob Hope and get an autograph.......big doins' for me! I did and still do love Bob Hope. I know that dates me but oh well, so be it. It was worth it to meet him. Yep our little town that grew is pretty special, I could name so many special places..maybe later!
